The Humboldt Historic Preservation Commission works to honor our city's past while enriching its future. Preserving historic sites inspires pride, supports local businesses, and creates unique opportunities for education, tourism, and community enjoyment.
The Commission is composed of five citizen members (must reside within Humboldt City limits) appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. Members serve in terms of three years and shall demonstrate a positive interest in historic preservation, possessing interest or expertise in architecture, architectural history, historic preservation, city planning, building rehabilitation, conservation in general or real estate.
