With the garbage bag shortage we have come up with an alternative solution for the time being so everyone can continue to have garbage services.
As of now City Hall currently has a limited amount of city garbage bags for sale. (while supplies last)
Our solution for the time being is that we will be having stickers for sale. You can purchase these stickers at Hy-Vee Customer Service, Fareway Customer Service or City Hall. They will be $5.00 for 6 stickers. With the stickers you are able to use your own garbage bag as long as it does not exceed our 50 lbs. limit. The sticker will need to be secured around the draw string of the bag. Please have sticker visible for the sanitation department for collection. Each bag will need its own individual sticker. These stickers are non-refundable.
