The Humboldt Police Department is a professional law enforcement agency sworn to serve and protect the citizens of Humboldt with honor, integrity and pride. The department currently has 3 full-time and one part-time police officers. The Humboldt Police Department will have seven sworn academy-certified police officers. 

Our mission at the Humboldt Police Department is committed to serving and safeguarding our community by preventing crime and disorder, recognizing that our effectiveness is best measured by the absences of such challenges. We prioritize building trust, fostering collaboration, and maintaining mutual respect, understanding that the public and the police are one entity. 

 

The Humboldt Police Department and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department have a joint facility located on Sumner Ave and 5th Street.
