Photo Contest
May to July 2025
Showcase your stunning snapshots of Humboldt in the second annual community photo contest!
2025 Categories: Frozen Humboldt, Wildcat Pride, Summertime Fun, & Youth.
Submissions are due by July 31st. Winners will be announced August 15th. Photos may only be entered into one category.
Participants may submit up to 10 total photos.

Kids Paint Party
Date: June 6th, 2025
Time: 10am to Noon
Location: Humboldt Community Center
607 1st Ave S Humboldt, IA
Who: Boys & Girls 14yo & younger
Cost: $20
What: Come paint and design a fun wall/door hanger for your bedroom with you name on it! Different designs to suit boys and girls & fun options to make it your own! All supplies are provided, but please wear "paint" clothes! Snacks & beverages will be provided. After finished painting games & activities will be available until Noon!

Are you 17 years old or younger and make your own goods/crafts/food and would like to sell them?
Register for our Kids Markers Market!
Tables & Chairs provided for registrants. Must provide own cash for change. Parent help encouraged, but recreation staff will be present to help.

Trip to Target Field
July 12th
$100/person
Bus Departs @ 8am
First Pitch 1:30pm
Return by 9pm
Open To All Ages
(12 and under must be accompanied by an adult)
Join The Humboldt Recreation Department for a chartered trip to Target Field to watch the Minnesota Twins take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Leave the transportation and parking to us and travel in comfort aboard a chartered motor coach to watch the game. Food and drink are permitted on the bus. Your fee covers the bus ride and ticket to the game. You will be responsible for food, drink, souvenirs, etc.
